verena kaminiarz was born in 1978. She received an MSc. Biological Art from the University of Western Australia in 2008 and a BFA from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, Canada. She uses biomedical technologies in her work and explores bio/genetic research in a contemporary philosophical context. Her work has been shown internationally in such exhibitions as Biological Imperative (Gallery Affero, New Jersey, 2008) Still, Living (Biennale Electronic Art Perth, Perth. 2007)
